Στις 26/3/2020 η e-Trikala και ο Δήμος Τρικκαίων συμμετείχε, μέσω τηλεδιάσκεψης, στην ετήσια διεθνή ημερίδα “Public Authorities Platform Meeting” της ERTICO – ITS Europe με έδρα τις Βρυξέλλες.

Ειδικότερα, παρουσιάστηκαν δύο ερευνητικά προγράμματα τα οποία υλοποιεί η εταιρεία e-trikala υπό την αιγίδα του Δήμου Τρικκαίων: (i) το πρόγραμμα AVINT, που αφορά στην ενσωμάτωση αυτόματων οχημάτων στον αστικό συγκοινωνιακό ιστό με πιλοτική εφαρμογή την πόλη των Τρικάλων και (ii) το πρόγραμμα Harmony, που αφορά στο σχεδιασμό εργαλείων χωρικού σχεδιασμού και μεταφορικών συστημάτων με πιλοτική χρήση στο θέμα της εναέριας αστικής κυκλοφορίας, και ειδικότερα των εναέριων αυτόματων μέσων (drones) για τη μεταφορά φαρμακευτικού υλικού στην πόλη των Τρικάλων. Τα προγράμματα παρουσίασε η Δρ. Έλενα Πατατούκα, ερευνήτρια της e-Trikala, ενώ στη συζήτηση που ακολούθησε συμμετείχαν και ο Χάρης Καλλιάρας, ειδικός σύμβουλος Δημάρχου Τρικκαίων σε θέματα στρατηγικού σχεδιασμού και ανάπτυξης, και ο Γιώργος Γοργογέτας, ερευνητής της e-Trikala.
Στην ημερίδα συμμετείχαν εκπρόσωποι άλλων ευρωπαϊκών πόλεων, όπως και προσκεκλημένοι από τον ιδιωτικό και δημόσιο τομέα σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο. Οι συμμετέχοντες αντάλλαξαν πληροφορίες πάνω σε προγράμματα με θέμα τη βιώσιμη αστική κινητικότητα και τα ευφυή συστήματα μεταφορών, με γνώμονα τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας ζωής των κατοίκων των σύγχρονων πόλεων.

Η ERTICO-ITS Europe αποτελεί τον Ευρωπαϊκό Οργανισμό για τα Ευφυή Συστήματα Μεταφορών (ΕΣΜ). Η ERTICO αποτελεί έναν από τους σημαντικότερους Οργανισμούς σε θέματα μεταφορών, με μεγάλη επιρροή και πρόσβαση σε πολλαπλά κέντρα αποφάσεων, καθώς και έναν από τους βασικούς διαμορφωτές  των αντίστοιχων Ευρωπαϊκών πολιτικών. Διεξάγει πλήθος δραστηριοτήτων με στόχο τη μείωση των τροχαίων ατυχημάτων στους δρόμους της Ευρώπης, την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος, αλλά και τη διατήρηση της κινητικότητας σε επίπεδα αποδοτικά σε σχέση με το κόστος. Διοργανώνει, επίσης, τα σημαντικότερα συνέδρια διεθνώς (ITS World και European Congresses) για τα Ευφυή Συστήματα Μεταφορών, σε συνεργασία με τις αντίστοιχες κοινοπραξίες διεθνώς (ITS USA, ITS Japan, ITS Australia κόκ).

e-trikala and Municipality of Trikala participation in the annual “Public Authorities Platform Meeting” organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe

On the 26/3/2020 e-Trikala and the Municipality of Trikala participated through teleconference in the annual “Public Authorities Platform Meeting” organized of ERTICO – ITS Europe based in Brussels.

In particular, two research projects accomplished by e-Trikala under the auspice of Trikala City were presented: (i) the project ‘AVINT’ focusing on autonomous vehicles integrated within the urban context and (ii) the project ‘Harmony’ shaping the spatial and transport planning challenges metropolitan areas with a pilot on the topic of Urban Air Mobility, transferring medicines in the city of Trikala with the use of drones. The two ongoing projects were presented by Dr Elena Patatouka, researcher in e-Trikala, while both Harry Kalliaras, special advisor of the Mayor of Trikala for strategic planning and development issues, and George Gorgogetas, researcher in e-Trikala, also participated in the follow-up discussion.

The event was attended by representatives from other European Cities, as well as from the private and public sector at the European level. Different aspects were discussed by the participants through an interactive exchange on sustainable urban mobility and ITS issues, in the light of  improving citizens’ everyday life.
